About Team Viking
Team Viking is an Alberta-based company that provides on-site mobile heat exchanger cleaning services to major Oil & Gas corporations, municipal customers, and the manufacturing sector. Viking has expanded its operations, facility, and field equipment and is entering its 9th consecutive year of growth.
Viking is looking to recruit a supervisor with experience working in the oil and gas services industry, specifically with High Pressure Water Jetting. Viking prefers to train and promote from within, as its processes and technologies are unique to the industry and the company focuses on building its team from the ground up.
Wages:
- $85,000 – $90,000 annual base salary negotiated based on experience
- Overtime payable after 8 hours per day or 44 hours per week when working in the field
- Travel time paid where applicable
- Travel expenses covered via company credit card

Key Duties:
- High Pressure water jetting methodology and equipment operation
- High pressure pump maintenance and manifold conversion
- Supervision of high-pressure water jetting operations at industrial and oil & gas sites
- Ability to lead and manage crews of 2–10 people
- Interacting with clients on site
- Troubleshooting operational issues and coming up with solutions
- Assisting with writing procedures and completing safety documentation
- Driving to sites and around sites in a large cube van
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in high-pressure water jetting operations
- High pressure fitting knowledge
- Hose and tube type knowledge
- General knowledge of working mechanics (good mechanical instincts)
- Experience managing a crew of workers
- Experience dealing with customers
- Experience writing procedures and filling out safety paperwork
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work safely in industrial environments
- Willingness to learn and cross-train in Chemical Cleaning applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Information:
- Local to the Edmonton area
- Must have a reliable vehicle to get to and from the shop in Stony Plain
- Work location includes various oil and gas sites throughout AB, BC, and SK
- Working out of town for extended periods of time
- Flexible schedule with ability to work out of town with 24 hours’ notice
- Able to work shift work
- Outdoor work in sometimes harsh climate conditions
- On and off-site safety, including diligent use of PPE at all times
- Worker must be hardworking, dependable, resourceful, self-motivated, and a team player
- This is a safety-sensitive position and successful completion of pre-access drug, alcohol, criminal record check, and fitness screening is required
- The successful applicant will be hired as an employee (not subcontractor) and must complete a 3-month probationary period
Mandatory Certifications / Licenses:
- Valid Class 5 (Non-GDL) driver’s license in good standing; driver’s abstract must be provided
- Three (3) year Commercial Driver’s Abstract (CDA) demonstrating a safe driving history with no major convictions and no more than three (3) minor convictions
Highly Desirable Certifications:
- Standard First Aid
- H2S Alive
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)

Key Duties:
- Cleaning, maintaining, and inspecting oil and gas storage tanks, chemical tanks, and vessels
- Operating specialized tank cleaning equipment such as pressure washers and chemical pumps
- Robotics cleaning, high-pressure washing, and confined space entry services
- Ensuring safety compliance at all times
- Proper handling and disposal of waste materials
- Working in teams and following instructions precisely
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience in industrial tank cleaning, tank maintenance, or related field (preferred but not required)
- Experience working with pumps and hydraulics is a strong asset
- Ability to work out of town for long periods of time
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to hazardous materials, confined spaces, and industrial cleaning
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces for extended hours
- Ability to wear required PPE including chemical suits, respirator, and SCBA
- Excellent safety record and safety-first behaviour

- Negative alcohol and drug test and criminal record check is mandatory
- Safety tickets considered assets: Confined Space, H2S, CSO, WHMIS, First Aid
