Summary:
As an Automotive Technician at Team Viking , you will play a vital role in maintaining and servicing our fleet of trucks . This position is essential to ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional results for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on our fleet light and medium duty pick up trucks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries regarding equipment functionality.
- Document maintenance activities and report any significant findings or issues.
- This position may include travel to sites to preform maintenance on trucks.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Possess a valid journeyman certificate
- Experience working on Ford trucks
- CVIP inspection certification
- Journeyman position must be able to produce a Journeyman ticket, and have experience mentoring apprentices
- Must be local to the greater Edmonton area
- Experience as an automotive Technician working on light duty trucks.
- Strong electrical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems
- Ability to complete repairs and preventative maintenance including oil changes, replace break systems, diagnose engine issues, experience rebuilding engines is an asset .
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Current forklift certification is considered and asset
Job Details:
- Job involves working out of our shop in Stony Plain
- Hours are 8am to 4:30 pm with the possibility of OT
- This is a physically demanding role, and the successful candidate will be able to comfortably walk, stand, lift (≤50 lbs.), carry (≤50 lbs.), and bend for the duration of their shift.
- Use of the forklift to load and unload materials
Compensation:
- Wages are dependent on experience and the position ranging from $38/hr to $42/hr
- Overtime is paid at time and a half after 8 hours a day or 44 hours per week

- Experience in chemical or industrial cleaning, fluid-haul, or industrial services to SAGD operations preferred
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass pre-access drug, alcohol, and fitness screenings

- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot equipment
- Valid Class 1 (preferred) or Class 3 driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass pre-access drug, alcohol, and fitness screenings
